Trouble Accessing or Embedding Kaltura Videos

Brightspace users attempting to view or embed Kaltura videos may receive an "Access Denied"  (figure 1 below) or "Application Error" (figure 2 below) message when accessing content.  These instructions will assist with the most common solution.

  1. Make sure you've granted Brightspace access to your Kaltura Media Account.
  2. To do this, select "my media" in the "tools" menu of the navbar.

  3. The user may need to Authorize their account access for Kaltura, as shown here: Simply select the check box for "Do not ask me again for this application", and click continue.

  4. Your Kaltura "my media" should now load with a list of all your "my media" videos.
  5.  Once you have verified that you can view your "My Media" videos you should now be able to work with embedding videos in Brightspace from Kaltura.
