Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) - No Access to Device(s) and Using Backup Codes

If you have forgotten your Multi-factor Authentication device and still need to get into your UMS account we can assist!

Detailed Information

  1. If you do not have a backup code or you can't find it you will need you to contact the IT Helpdesk at (800)696-4357. You can find information about the hours here.
  2. If you have generated a backup code, you can use one of them to access you account:
    1. Attempt to login as you normally would.
    2. When prompted for MFA:
      • If you have it setup to auto-push you will need to click the blue "Cancel" button on the bottom.

      • If you do not have auto push proceed to the next step.
    3. Click "Enter a Passcode"

    4. Input your 9 digit backup code as you would normally and click Login.
    5. You should now be logged in!
