For Macs experiencing issues while using Kaltura Capture, including freezing, error messages, or being unable to stop a recording, sometimes altering the system settings is all that's needed.
Instructions
- Open the Mac System Preferences, then navigate to Security & Privacy.
- Under the Privacy tab, unlock the panel by clicking the lock symbol in the lower left. Credential entry may be needed.
- Select Camera from the scrolling list to the left, and ensure that Kaltura Capture has the box to the left checked off. If not, check the box. If Kaltura Capture is not present, it may not be properly installed.
- Select Microphone and Screen Recording and do the same thing, checking the box if it is not already checked off.
- Click the lock in the bottom left to save the changes.
- Relaunch Kaltura Capture, and the issues should be resolved.
INFO: If this process does not resolve the issue, a full uninstall and reinstall of Kaltura Capture may be required.
