Missing course in Brightspace

Information for missing courses in Brightspace.

Detailed Information

INFO: Brightspace course visibility is set by your instructor. Your instructor will set the course as active or inactive with a start and end date. If the course is inactive, it is before the start date, or it is after the end date then you will not see the course in Brightspace. If you need access to the course in these situations, please reach out to your instructor to request access.

Confirm course enrollment

If you do not see your course in Brightspace, please confirm your enrollment in the course. Here's how: How can I view my class schedule in the Student Center?

If you recently enrolled in a course and the course has already started, please visit How new learners are enrolled into a course for more information.

If you are not enrolled in the course but need access, please visit: Access to Course/Enroll in class (student) for more information.

For Upcoming Courses

Brightspace course availability depends on when your instructor makes the course visible. Some instructors do this early, others wait until the day the course is schedule to start. If you have confirmed enrollment (see above) but do not see the course in Brightspace and the semester has not started yet, please check back once the semester is scheduled to start. For Previously Completed Courses

Brightspace course availability depends on when your instructor makes the course visible. Some instructors allow continued access once the course is complete, others will end access. If you need access to a Brightspace course once the course has ended, please reach out to your instructor to request access.

To confirm enrollment, please reach out to your academic success coach or enrollment specialist. If you still do not see your course in Brightspace, have confirmed you are enrolled in the course, and it is after the course is scheduled to start, please reach out to IT Help Desk for support: itsupport.maine.edu
